ABOUT US

1927-NOW

Our club is run entirely by volunteers who take pride in providing a professional support service to the Emergency Services and local community.

BLACK ROCK LIFE SAVING CLUB WAS FOUNDED IN 1927.

Together with other Victorian clubs and Life Saving Victoria, it serves as a core member of the State’s emergency services. As such our primary function is to provide beach and aquatic safety.

The Club offers a rewarding opportunity for members to gain skills, keep fit and have fun while fulfilling its primary function. This is effectively achieved via training using a diverse range of activities and a wide range of opportunities for socialising and development of lifelong friendships.

The Club provides facilities and an extensive equipment base for the use of members, including qualified coaches, inflatable rescue boats, foam, fiberglass & malibu boards, surf skis, gym equipment, hot showers and change rooms, BBQ and catering equipment, overhead projector & stereo system, resuscitation & first aid equipment, training aids and a venue for members to hold social functions.

OUR VISION

Is to provide a safe, friendly and welcoming environment where all members can interact and enjoy the benefits of healthy outdoor activities to learn about water safety, first aid, resuscitation, develop an awareness of the beach and the aquatic environment in a manner that is fun, educational and embraces team spirit, tolerance and inclusion.
