ABOUT US
Established in 1927
Black Rock Life Saving Club offers an enriching environment where volunteers commit to promoting water safety and lifesaving, particularly through the Surf Life Saving Nippers program designed for children. As an essential component of the State’s emergency services, we collaborate with other clubs across Victoria and with Life Saving Victoria to enhance beach and aquatic safety measures.
The Club provides a rewarding experience for its members, enabling them to acquire valuable skills, remain active, and enjoy various activities while fulfilling our core mission. This is achieved through diverse training sessions and plentiful opportunities for socialising, which foster enduring friendships. Our members have access to a comprehensive range of facilities and equipment, such as certified coaches, inflatable rescue boats, various surfboards including foam, fiberglass, and malibu boards, surf skis, gym equipment, hot showers, changing rooms, resuscitation and first aid supplies, training aids, a barbecue and bar area, and a multifunctional room suitable for training as well as social events.
OUR VISION
Is to provide a safe, friendly and welcoming environment where all members can interact and enjoy the benefits of healthy outdoor activities to learn about water safety, first aid, resuscitation, develop an awareness of the beach and the aquatic environment in a manner that is fun, educational and embraces team spirit, tolerance and inclusion.
